Passenger carriages and locomotives
An exterior colour layer in a protective and decorative system for rolling stock.

Ready-to-use paint or coating
A coloured protective and decorative layer for primed metal. In the tested system it is applied after the primer surfacer and before the polyurethane clearcoat.
About the material
The enamel is based on acrylic resins with pigments, fillers, organic solvents and a hardener. The presentation specifies use on primed metal surfaces of vehicles and metal structures.
Material selection and the application process depend on the substrate, previous coats and service conditions. Request the current TU specification and instructions before use.
Purpose
The list is based on the AKRYL presentation. Suitability for a specific project is confirmed through technical selection.
An exterior colour layer in a protective and decorative system for rolling stock.
Coating primed metal surfaces using an agreed application procedure.
Suitability is determined by the substrate, environment, required colour and application conditions.

These are individual material specifications, not test results for the complete system. Requirements and test methods must be checked against current technical documentation.
Preparation
Specify the metal, previous coating and service conditions.
Confirm the required shade and colour availability before ordering.
Confirm compatibility and application conditions using the current TU specification and a trial on the project.
| Supply set stated by the manufacturer | Enamel base, hardener and thinner. The set composition and mass are specified in the order. |
|---|---|
| Component B | AKRYL 2K PU Hardener, TU 24.72.28-056-49740748-2025 |
| Thinner | PU Akryl, TU 20.30.22-055-49740748-2025; no more than 10 % by mass. |
| Mixture preparation | Stir the base and hardener separately first. After mixing, allow 10-15 minutes before application. |
| Application | Air or airless spray; a brush is permitted on areas smaller than 1 m². One or two coats; consumption is calculated for a two-coat dry film of 40-50 µm. |
| Conditions | Relative humidity no more than 80 %; surface temperature at least 3 °C above the dew point. Agree the minimum application temperature with the technologist using the current instructions. |
| Intercoat interval | 6-24 h; after 24 h the surface must be sanded. Check the conditions against the project requirements. |
This information is taken from the manufacturer's materials and does not replace the current application instructions. Request them for the selected material and project before application.
Theoretical consumption is given for the specified coating thickness. Actual consumption depends on application methods and conditions, roughness, object geometry and process losses.
Specify the object to be coated, substrate material, service conditions, required colour, area and application method. We will clarify technical documents and supply terms.
Questions
The presentation specifies enamel application to primed metal surfaces. The preparation procedure is agreed for each project.
Yes, you can request the material separately. Compatibility with a primer and clearcoat from another system must be checked.
Colour is clarified when you enquire. The current source does not include a public list of confirmed shades.
For this grade, the presentation specifies a base-to-hardener mass ratio of 20 : 6.
Agree the minimum application temperature with the technologist using the current instructions. Relative humidity must not exceed 80 %, and substrate temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.
Airless and air spray are listed; a brush is permitted on areas smaller than 1 m². Select the working viscosity for the application method.
The presentation specifies an intercoat interval of 6 to 24 h; sanding is required after 24 h. Check the exact conditions against the TU specification and project requirements.
